Product Manager

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Management

o    Monitor, analyze, and evaluate product performance and customer feedback to generate new product ideas, identify product/service features that need to be changed to meet customer needs, and coordinate with Science, Operations, and Business Directors as well as Division heads to implement these changes. 

o     

o    Identify, assess, and recommend product, services, or customer segments, and recommend strategies for accessing segments.

o     

o    Analyze competitive landscape and develop a marketing plan for certain products with recommended tactics to achieve sales targets.

o     

o    Develop and implement global pricing and positioning strategies as well as marketing plans for designated products by evaluating competitive market conditions.

o     

o    Maintain strong awareness of relevant competitive and industry trends.

o     

o    Work closely with all parties involved and serve as marketing liaison in development project teams.

o     

o    Develop value based product pricing strategies to achieve target profitability.

Implement forecasting in order to support Business Planning and Production & Supply Chain Management

o    Own all aspects of the front end of new product development process including: intimate understanding of customers short and long term highly valued problems, requirements analysis, platform definition, clear paths of differentiation, business model definition and segment go to market plans.

·         Work within a matrixed environment in keeping with expressed objectives and corporate culture. Communications and Reporting:

o    Set customer awareness objectives for products, services, and customer segments, and work with Business Development and the Operations Teams to design and develop programs to meet objectives in accordance with overall marketing strategy.

Keep all sales, operations and marketing functions appraised at all times of new developments and opportunities as they arise.

o       Communicate in a professional and logical manner to internal and external audiences

Prepare detailed reports and correspondence to clients and collaborators, and Vice President(s)/President  as required. 


Qualifications:


Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Engineering

·    Must exhibit strong leadership skills and meet high performance work culture standards. 

·    Requires excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

·    Must have demonstrated success in defining and launching new platforms with speed and discipline in targeted markets with strong financial return.

·    Must possess strong computer and business writing skills.

·    Experience with Microsoft Office and Project Management tools.

·    Excellent use of judgment and discretion required.

·    The successful candidate will have a proven track record of coordination and communication with personnel across disparate technical and business backgrounds such as Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Planning, Executive Management, Quality Assurance.

·    Extended work hours may be necessary in order to meet business demands.

Periodic travel may be required to meet business demands and objectives.
