Mechanical Design Engineer

SUMMARY

Researches, plans, and designs mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems within budget and time constraints. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

·         Designs products or systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems.

·         Create drawings and bill material related to each of their jobs or projects

·         Must support manufacturing on the floor on any problems related to the various jobs and/or projects.

·         Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.

·         Evaluates field installations and recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in mechanical engineering plus 1+

years related mechanical design experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of

education and experience.
