Automation Process Engineer
Description
As the Process Engineer II - Automation you
will utilize your experience and talents to provide engineering support to
the assembly processes to include: the analysis, design, development, planning,
and execution of improvements to the assembly processes through process systems
design, equipment design, and automation.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities
- Analyze product and/or
equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs
that can be produced using existing assembly equipment and processes
- Serve as technical liaison for
customers and suppliers regarding the assembly processes
- Educate and advise launch teams
of assembly process capability for product designs
- Assist in the development,
design, testing, and installation of automated manufacturing systems and
processes
- Provide technical assistance to
Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing
to help resolve quality concerns, increase productivity, and improve
safety
Required Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or
a related engineering discipline
- 2 to 4 years of engineering
experience in a position within the assembly process area of a new product
manufacturer

- Knowledge of standards, such as
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and/or American Standard Technical
Methods (ASTM)
